EMAG, the Ethnic Minorities Advocacy Group, is an independent voluntary organisation working for equality and fairness in the Black and Ethnic Minority communities living and working in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Mission

EMAG mission is to: work towards the elimination of racial discrimination, to promote equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different racial groups and to promote community cohesion and equality, and celebrate diversity.

At EMAG we hear daily about people facing disadvantages because of their racial background. Often, this came from a lack of understanding and difficulties in communicating. There are also frequent instances of racial intolerance and racial harassment.

At EMAG we are committed to successful multi-racial communities and we aim to help people who experience racism and to support people who are new to life in Britain. More than 15,000 people living in Richmond come from minority ethnic groups.

EMAG's Multi-Faith Activities EMAG organises multi-faith visits with the aim of promoting better understanding between different cultures and faiths.
