This week we pick up on the action at HomeFront, where Director Ben has more problems with his board. This time, founder member and vice chair, Walter, is causing trouble with his meddling and obsession with the user complaints log. So:

  • what can a chief executive do when a senior figure on the board is holding the organisation back?
  • do you use the number of complaints about your services as a prompt for action? How do you tend to respond?

Oh that Chair and CE relationship's could be so easily fixed in real life!

there was a recent post on the governance forum about how to respond Chair who is overriding the aspirations of the CE - which is well worth a look rather than repeating here
