4Children has re-launched its website to provide more user-friendly delivery of information about its national campaigns, programmes and groundbreaking local services in children’s centres and nurseries around the country.
As the government’s strategic partner for early years and childcare, 4Children provides a wealth of crucial information, advice and support to parents, families and practitioners working with young children; as well as support for older children and young people. To meet the needs of its various audiences, www.4Children.org.uk includes a range of new features, including a more sophisticated services overview, with a map plotting every 4Children day nursery, children’s centre, out of school club and youth activity in the country, searchable by postcode and service type, and leading to home pages for every service centre.
The new site also tailors its content according to who is using it, with specifically relevant content provided to practitioners, parents, local authorities, commissioners, media or 4Children members.
‘We know how important it is for people to have information at their fingertips about the wide range of activities, services and resources we offer to support children and families. Parents, for instance, will appreciate the ease with which they can find details of our services via the website,’ says Pauline Phillips, Acting Head of Publications at 4Children.
‘Chameleon has done an exceptional job in delivering a user-friendly online destination which I’m confident will contribute to an increase in the uptake of our services,’ says Ms Phillips.
The site was designed using 4Children’s own design concepts and developed by digital communications agency Chameleon.
